The International GT26 gas turbine end-user conference was earlier this month, February 6th-8th, in snowy Vienna, Austria. This conference is catered to users of the GT26 gas turbine and offers them opportunities to update their knowledge and network with international colleagues. Vendors and Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) were also present where they had the opportunity to meet their customers in person!
As a turnkey power plant services firm, we offer independent advice that maximizes competitive advantage and profitability for our customers. With our extensive experience in the industry, our compound team of engineers, turbine and rotating equipment services, and our commitment to quality, we are dedicated to delivering the highest quality of services to exceed all project expectations. This is what we learned at the conference.
New Partnerships Formed At GT26 User Conference
We thought the conference was a great success for numerous reasons. These events are great places to meet potential customers and to form new business partnerships. We were ecstatic to meet customers who are very interested in parts and service alternatives to the OEM. Some are also interested in a Customer Representative to monitor the OEM when they have existing LTSAs. We are looking forward to nurturing these new prospects and forming a mutually beneficial business relationship.
Customers are aware that there are alternatives when refurbishing and repairing parts, but there’s currently no alternative for new parts, which becomes both the end user’s and our biggest hurdle.
We also discovered that there are other vendors that we can partner with to add value for our customers during outages. For example, AVS Valve would like to partner with us in installing their valves for our customers to solve known OTC issues.
GCMS focuses on value-added services, so it only makes sense that we attend conferences and other events that truly add value to our company, services, and people. The value of this conference was well worth the trip to see and hear the issues the customers have with their units and what solutions we can provide to them. We met conference attendees who were from Australia, United Kingdom, Europe, Asia, and South America.
Our Booth at the GT26 User Conference
We also had a booth at the conference and this is where we were able to meet a lot of the new prospects and customers.
We loved getting to meet everyone who stopped by and wanted to thank them for visiting our booth by giving away an iPad air. Here’s the lucky winner, Thierry Mariot!
We enjoyed getting to meet other vendors and discuss potential partnerships as well!
