The biggest conference in power generation industry is weeks away! POWER-GEN International is a power generation conference that covers all forms of energy. We are getting prepared to be an exhibitor at this year’s conference. We also look forward to exploring the other 900+ exhibitors and participating in different summits, hubs, and networking events.
As their website says, this is the only conference that provides “unmatched insight for the future of the energy spectrum and mix.” Below is everything we’re looking forward to at the conference.
The Can’t-Miss POWER-GEN International Conference
As technology changes, the way we power our homes and create and distribute electricity will also change. In fact, it’s changing already. Currently, the three major types of energy for electricity generation are fossil fuels (natural gas, petroleum etc), nuclear energy, and renewable energy sources (like solar and wind energy).
Currently, natural gas is the largest source of electricity generation in the U.S. You can catch up on the topic by reading our blog about the latest in the gas industry. Following that, coal comes in second and nuclear energy is tied with renewable energy sources for third place. The POWER-GEN conference will feature tracks and exhibits on all these sources so there’s value for everyone in the industry. These are a few of the tracks we’re looking forward to the most, several of which align closely to our services:
- Operations and Design of the Gas-Fired Plants
- Optimizing Plant Performance
- Gas-Turbines: What’s New?
- Energy Storage: Changing the Game
Check out a complete list of tracks here. Looking for another reason to be there? While most of the country will be experiencing freezing December temperatures, you can enjoy a nice average of 70-degree weather in Orlando, Florida from December 4th-6th.
GCMS will be in booth #3063. Come by our booth for all things related to gas and steam turbine equipment and services, maintenance and outage equipment, and more information on all of our services. We’ll also have some promotional items there as well.
